Improving communication and collaboration for the success of Pharmacy First
This seminar will explore how a series of collaborative workshops/ webinars to enhance communication and collaboration among general practices and community pharmacies aligned to primary care networks (PCNs) was used as an intervention to support the early implementation of the Pharmacy First Service in Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes.
The presentation will cover the rationale for selecting webinars as an early implementation strategy, detailing their structure, frequency, and the stakeholders involved. Emphasis will be placed on effective communication techniques, collaborative working methods, and the use of technology to facilitate these processes.
Real-world case studies and feedback will demonstrate the positive outcomes of this approach, including service uptake and improved patient care.
The seminar will also address enablers and barriers to implementation, sustainability, and scalability, offering insights into maintaining and expanding these collaborative efforts Attendees will leave with practical skills and knowledge to support the integration of community pharmacies into primary care.
