Addressing the awarding gap in pharmacy education - perspectives from other disciplines
One major challenge facing UK higher education sector is the degree awarding gap. Previously referred to as the attainment gap, the degree awarding gap between White students and their counterparts from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background is a persistent and stubborn challenge. Addressing the awarding gap remains a priority however understanding the underlying factors responsible for these gaps is key to developing effective and sustainable approaches to eradicating these barriers and to enable successful graduate outcomes. This session will highlight existing data and perspectives with possible solutions to addressing the challenge.
