Healthera announces Healthera Clinic bringing private medicines for select conditions to pharmacies nationwide
October 8th 2024 - Cambridge, UK — Healthera, the patient relationship management platform, announces Healthera Clinic, the new product offering giving pharmacies the ability to dispense private medicines to Healthera’s 1 million patients across the UK. Healthera Clinic will provide patients access to treatments for select conditions, including hair loss, erectile dysfunction and weight loss.
Launching later in October 2024, Healthera Clinic makes the process of accessing private medicines fast, safe and convenient for both patients and pharmacies. Patients will be invited to determine if they are eligible and select their preferred treatment through the Healthera App. Private medicines will be prescribed through an independent prescriber within Healthera and eligible pharmacies will be paid to dispense and the medicine can be fulfilled through collection and delivery. This important new offering helps pharmacies without an independent prescriber or having to invest in Patient Group Directions (PGDs) to access an important new product category - and unlocks a wider, significant revenue opportunity for all pharmacies working with Healthera.
“Pharmacies are struggling to thrive from NHS prescriptions alone and have begun to expand their product offering,” said Quintus Liu, CEO and Founder of Healthera. “The successful launch of our services offering earlier this year, boosted by our recent partnership with myGP, has been highly encouraging, bringing thousands of new bookings for services to pharmacies each week. We expect to see similar adoption of Healthera Clinic, giving patients convenient, safe access to treatments for key lifestyle conditions and importantly, a new revenue stream for our valued pharmacy partners.”
Healthera is on a mission to make medicine easily accessible for those who need it and to support hardworking healthcare professionals with new technology. Founded in 2015 out of Cambridge University, the company provides convenient, digital access to prescriptions, services and medicines for patients through more than 1,600 community pharmacies across the UK.
