What makes the Childs Farm OatDerma range special?

The OatDerma range offers effective products created specifically for dry and itchy skin and scalps, including people who may be prone to eczema. Sustainably sourced hero ingredients

The OatDerma range is formulated with efficacious ingredients which harness the natural power of Nordic oats, with a blend of colloidal oatmeal and oat oil to provide ultimate skin moisturisation.

• Colloidal Oatmeal: Clinically proven to help soothe and nourish skin and scalp. Colloidal oatmeal is rich in beta-glucan and avenanthramides which are clinically proven to instantly soothe and gently nourish the natural balance of delicate skin. The harsh growing conditions in Finland result in oats with the highest level of skin moisturising ingredient beta-glucan.  
• Oat Oil: Helps the skin to absorb and retain moisture. Oat oil acts as an occlusive and a humectant, absorbing and retaining moisture in the skin. It's also naturally rich in ceramides. Clinically proven to hydrate and sooth irritated skin, oat oil locks in moisture creating a protective barrier against daily irritants such as dribble and the weather. These oats are grown in Sweden where the oil is a by-product of the food industry.
• Oat Bran Extract: A transformative emollient that intensely moisturises hair and scalp. OatDerma haircare products are infused with a blend of nourishing colloidal oatmeal and oat bran extract to gently cleanse, soothe and relieve dry scalps. Oat bran extract helps to seal in moisture by encasing the hair from root to tip by forming a film on the hair shaft. 

Sustainability is at the heart of Childs Farm. The oats are responsibly sourced from expert farmers in the Nordics with a long history of growing the best oats in the world due to their climate, clean water and pure air. The oats are processed locally to ensure that carbon emissions of transportation is minimised, and the drying facility used as part of the processing utilises renewable energy. The patented process to produce the colloidal oatmeal does not involve the use of any chemicals and has been optimised to ensure efficient extrusion of the oat kernels. The process also ensures full traceability down to batch level – this means Childs Farm can trace back each batch of colloidal oatmeal to the farm it was grown on.

All products in the OatDerma range also contain Glycerin, to intensely hydrate skin and protect from dryness. This humectant attracts water to the skin to maintain hydration levels and ensure skin is left feeling soft and hydrated. The Bath Milk also contains sunflower oil, and the Body Moisturiser contains nourishing cocoa and shea butters.
