The pharmacy show webinar was a great opportunity to share my views especially during the pandemic and the importance of health and safety in pharmacy which I am passionate about.

The webinar, was delivered by pharmacists and PDA Union Reps Siddiqur Rahman, Daniela Rusalim, Jayesh Ladva and Tohidul Islam and I, including a range of topics:

Equality Matters – equality issues, our equality networks and how to get involved to enact change.

How to get help with employment issues – the role of the PDA Union in redundancy, TUPE transfers, grievance and disciplinary matters.

Understanding the issues of locum pharmacists during the pandemic and how to raise the profile of locums and secure individual representation.

I’ve been a member of the PDA since I was a pre-reg. This year I have been elected to the PDA Union Regional Committee in the South, It’s essential for pharmacists to have the support of a union and to have reps who can give members a voice at work.
