Why should new owners attend the Pharmacy Show?
The last year has been a busy year for the pharmacy sales market, with the sell off of LloydsPharmacy’s entire high street pharmacy estate in 2023 signaling a period of flux in the market. At the beginning of 2024, reports suggested that the year would continue the theme of change. Data showed that 46% of pharmacy professionals were looking to acquire a pharmacy in the year to come, with 22% of contractors looking to sell, and 17% aiming to both buy and sell.
With the shift from large multiples owning the lion’s share of the market to independents and small chains (1-5 pharmacies) running more pharmacies, this means many new owners are entering the market. If you’re one of those, you may be wondering whether it’s worth taking time out of your busy schedule to attend The Pharmacy Show. Now we may be biased, but hopefully by giving you a flavour of just some of the learning, business advice and inspiration you can obtain this year, you’ll see that the answer to that question is a resounding yes!
