Pharmacy First one year on: Watch exclusive recordings from The Pharmacy Show 2024 on Pharmacy First below
)
To mark the 1st anniversary of Pharmacy First launching in England, we are sharing exclusive seminar recordings from The Pharmacy Show 2024 – featuring leading sector experts discussing the impact, challenges, and future of Pharmacy First.
Over the past year, Pharmacy First has begun transforming the way pharmacies engage with patients, alleviating system pressures while placing community pharmacy at the forefront of bringing care closer to home.
With the government recently announcing their plans to further expand the service in their elective reform plan, alongside data revealing a recent surge in consultations, it is evident that the service will be central in defining the next year for community pharmacy.
However, with concerns over GP referrals and collaboration, tensions surrounding monthly thresholds and renumeration, and many still questioning their capacity to deliver the service, there is still a long way to go until the full potential is realised.
