Amna is driven pharmacist who has worked in secondary care for over 12 years and is currently a Chief Pharmaceutical Officer's Clinical Fellow at NHS England (Transformation Directorate). She is passionate about the pharmacy profession being inclusive for all and has a keen interest in education, transformation including the use of technology to enhance patient care. In her role as a Lead Pharmacist for Renal Medicine she attained her MSc in Secondary which focussed on how the Electronic system the hospital had implemented could be developed to improve communication for transferring patients between colleagues. Using quality improvement methodologies (PDSA), and engaging key stakeholders in the project Amna was able to implement the new electronic Pharmacy Care Plan to allow colleagues to communicate effectively and deliver optimum quality of care to patients.
