Andrew, a community pharmacist and independent prescriber with 28 years of experience, owns and operates Magrath Pharmacy in Tamworth, Staffordshire, since 2001. He holds the APT Diploma in Psychological Therapies and is a graduate of the NHS Mary Seacole Leadership Programme. Recently, NHS England funded a community pharmacy independent prescribing pathfinder program allowing a focus on mental health, an area Andrew is passionate about. This innovative program assesses the need for prescribing and talking therapy services in community pharmacies, collaborating with local GPs and ICBs. Future plans include expanding services to chronic pain management. Andrew values making a meaningful difference to patients and advancing pharmacy services.
