Nicola Perkins
Registered Pharmacy Technician,
Nightingale Hammerson
Nicola found her love of pharmacy whilst having a Saturday job at a branch of Lloyds pharmacy during her A Levels, taking every school holiday shift she could to learn more and gain experience.
She then saw a post for a Student Pharmacy Technician role at Lewisham Hospital, where she stayed for almost 5 years, before moving on to the Lister Hospital, a private Hospital in Chelsea. That wasn't for her, and she only stayed there for 18 months, before moving to Nightingale Hammerson in Feb 2008, as the UKs first in house Pharmacy Technician, and she is still there! Her scope of practice has increased dramatically this year, going from covering one home, to two, with a potential of 250 beds.
