Poonam is the Contractor Services (Engagement) Pharmacy Technician working for Community Pharmacy Wales. (CPW) Within her role at CPW she works closely with Pre-Registration and Registered Pharmacy Technicians throughout Wales and provides a support system for questions and queries regarding their specific role and the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF). Alongside this role she also works as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACT) in a Community Pharmacy. This enables her to maintain her professional standards, continue providing safe and effective care to the community, and deliver services to patients. She began her journey of becoming an ACT 10 years ago in England and has now become an integral member of a Community Pharmacy team in Wales helping patients to make the most of their medicines, through her role, responsibilities and services Pharmacy Technicians can provide today. Poonam makes certain to carry on developing and progressing through continued professional development, supervising, supporting junior staff, and training for services in line with the CPCF. She say that she will continue to do this all and more through her two roles within Community Pharmacy.
