Sara Hawes is an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician who has been working at John Williams Pharmacy in Brynmawr for 10 months. She has been an ACPT for 3 years and has a total of 21 years of experience in the pharmacy field. In her role as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, Sara plays a key role in the daily support of the pharmacy team. One of her main responsibilities is ensuring the safe and efficient running of the pharmacy alongside the pharmacist. She also supervises and supports the learning and development of her colleagues, a role she thoroughly enjoys. Sara finds fulfilment in guiding and supporting her team, as well as monitoring and reviewing patient safety and implementing actions for continuous improvement. Sara is also a qualified First Aider in Mental Health, giving her the skills and tools needed to recognize and support colleagues and patients who may be struggling with mental health issues. She finds great satisfaction in being able to assist both patients and colleagues who need support in this area.
