Shoba is a Senior Research Fellow at the Sheffield Centre for Health and Related Research, University of Sheffield. She is a health services researcher with research interest and expertise in patient and public involvement and engagement, increasing ethnic diversity in research and evidence synthesis. She led on developing the Trial Forge 3 guidance on how to recruit and retain ethnic minority groups in trials. She was also commissioned by the NIHR Centre for Engagement and Dissemination to explore how NIHR can support equity and tackle inequalities. She co-leads the GPs at the Deep End, Bristol which is an initiative that aims to reduce health inequalities.
